Error -408 Invalid message type

I've just upgraded by Informix software to the latest versions for SCO-Unix and now I'm getting frequent -408 Invalid message type received from the sqlexec process errors. I've called informix once so far and they asked me to make sure my O/S was current. I upgraded that now and TCP/IP but I still get the errors. They come up just about everywhere and at any time. I've had them compiling a 4gl program, running and SQL query, running and Ace report, running a 4gl program. What I'm wondering is: Have other people had this on this platform? Are there people that have not had this and have the same setup as I do?
