Bug: 163653 REFER 162377 SAME BUG IN 9.40 ENGINE HUNG ON BLOCKED CKPT DUE TO DEADLOCK BETWEEN BTSCANNER AND SQLEXEC May be you are hitting this bug, or something similar (when you delete records, the btscanner is active). Check with tech support. Leave some time between you delete the records and running the test again. And see if you application hangs again.
