SQLFreeHandle - error in .NET provider

Has anyone seen the following error from the .NET provider ? The stack trace ends as shown - a 'normal' Informix error (such as a timeout, SQL syntax error or whatever) always traces back to where the provider was called from within my software. Any ideas or clues as to what might be happening ? This happened once and we cannot reproduce it.
