Folks, IDS11.50, Redhat Linux. CSDK Currently installed version: 3.50.FC8 We use PERL DBI to connect to IDS, like, $connect = 'dbi:Informix:class_metric@g_hdr'; $dbh = DBI->connect($connect) or die "could not connect to database\\ "; .......... Every connection is successful and good( we use .rhost). The problem is, for every new successful connection, IDS will produce a line, ......... 20:23:30 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL 20:23:35 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL 20:23:40 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL 20:23:45 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL 20:23:50 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL 20:23:56 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL 20:24:01 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL 20:24:06 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL 20:24:11 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL 20:24:16 WARNING: mt_aio_wait: errno == EINVAL ..... in online log message. How to get rid of the above unnecessary info in online log message? controllable ? Thanks, Frank --0015174c3b7a027f9404b13f33ac
Is it possible that you have your CONSOLE log pointed to the same file as MSGPATH? These messages about successful and unsuccessful connection attempts are probably being written to the CONSOLE log file. Just point that to /dev/null Art Art S.
