Gee, thanks, Sujit, 15 years in IT and that idea had never occurred to me!! However, there are some cross-links between PDFs (especially the indexes) which get trashed when you rename the files. That's why I'd like Informix to do it (and redo the links...) >J.Cooper@MS03.dss.gsi.gov.uk on 09/10/99 05:02:39 AM > >To: Informix-list@iiug.org >cc: (bcc: Sujit Pal) >Subject: Re(2): Informix documentation annoyances and complaints... > > > > > From: "John Francis" <johnwfran@home.com.no.spam> > > > > > >I was just wondering if anyone here has complaints about the current > > >Informix documentation or delivery systems (e.g. Answers OnLine). >Respond > > >here or email johnwfran@home.com. Obnoxio, 15 years on IT and you missed the obvious. Leave the cryptic names but link (ln not ld ;-)) the cryptic filenames to normal filenames. Then you can find your starting place easily and the PDF links will still work! Now don't you feel like sending Sujit a nice appology? You'll feel better if you do :-) Art S.
