Databases not showing up in AUS
Posted in 2010
After upgrading IDS 11.50 from FC5 to FC7 on Windows 2003 64-bit (and OAT from 2.26 to 2.28), only three of five databases appeared on OAT's Auto Update Statistics page; sysmaster/dbaccess showed all databases. Suggestions included checking that databases had logging (they did), re-running the AUS evaluation/cleanup task (didn't help), and running OAT's underlying query against sysadmin:aus_cmd_info manually. The poster opened a support case and, after dropping and rebuilding the sysadmin database using the scripts in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sysadmin, got all but one application database populating aus_cmd_info. No final resolution is recorded.

I recently upgrade a Windows 2003 64bit IDS 11.50 FC5 system to 11.50 FC7. After the upgrade which went without incident we no longer see all the databases in the Auto Update Statistics. We thought it was OAT so upgrade that to 2.28 from 2.26 no change. We are only seeing the sysutil, sysuser and one production database which does not give us any statistics like it use to or how the sys databases do. Have tried reseting the sysadmin no change. Have also rebuild the sysmaster with no luck. If i querry the sysmaster.sysdatabses i see all the databases and even under dbacces but for some reason they are not beign picked up by the AUS. Has anyone see this or is there something we can do to get them back??
The databases have logging? Regards. On Tue, Aug 24, 2010 at 2:42 PM, JOHN A. I took a look at the OAT code. It should only show information after the evaluation task has run, which probably didn't happen yet... Regards. I think the query that generates the bottom table of that page is this one: $qry = "SELECT aus_ci_stime, aus_ci_database, " . " aus_ci_missed_tables, " . " decode(aus_ci_need_tables,0,0," . " (select count(unique aus_cmd_partnum)" . " from sysadmin:aus_cmd_list" . " where aus_cmd_priority > 100000" . " and aus_cmd_dbs_partnum = aus_ci_dbs_partnum)" . " ) as small_tables," . " aus_ci_need_tables - aus_ci_done_tables - decode(aus_ci_need_tables,0,0," . " (select count(unique aus_cmd_partnum)" . " from sysadmin:aus_cmd_list" . " where aus_cmd_priority > 100000" . " and aus_cmd_dbs_partnum = aus_ci_dbs_partnum)" . " ) as large_tables," . " aus_ci_done_tables " . " FROM sysadmin:aus_cmd_info " . " WHERE aus_ci_database IS NOT NULL" Maybe you want to try it and find out where it's breaking.... I am jumping in a little late, but can you please explain what you mean by "not showing up"? Is it not showing up in OAT main screen, not in the list of commands generated, or other?? John F. John It's not showing in the list of databases in OAT on the Auto Update Statistics page and I checked the aus_cmd_info table and it only has three of the five database in it (same as the page).
