run the oninit command, the following error appears in message log file.

can anybody suggest the solution, what should i do. i dont have any backup, no
dbexport and all data is stored in only one dbspace named rootdbspace
Well, then you have a serious problem. One of your chunks is corrupted in some
way. Errno 5 is a generic read error, your system or disk array logs may have
more information and may be able to tell you if this is recoverable. Sounds
like a typical RAID5 *&%^ up, to me. If you had mirrors or an archive or even a
replicant server you'd be OK. With none of those ways to recover, you are
probably hosed.

Oh dear !!
Throwing yourself on the nearest pointed, sharp object is rather messy
and probably painful.
If you have support now might be a good time to call in. It may be
possible to bring the engine up and skip the fast recovery step (just
enough access to pull your data off) or you may be able fool the
engine into believing no work was done after the checkpoint.
What caused the engine to go down in the first place?
Keith
First have a look if all the chunks are accessable.
Error 5 points to problems writing to a chunk.
You can check using dd if all chunks can be read. If so, contact support.
If not, look for messages in the operating system.
Good luck !
