Seriously, if you give us some more information, we may (/may/) be able to help you. As it stands, though, I wouldn't recommend the shift if this is mission-critical data, due to both the OS mentioned and the DBMS. But that's just my opinion. If you have an overwhelming reason as to why you'd do such a thing, I'd be interested to know it. This may not have been what you're looking for, but you /did/ ask for comments. -Richard
