select * from db@inst:tbl insert into problem

I'm running 7.23UC4 here on AIX 4.1.5 and 4.2.1. Had a performance problem in using "select * from db@remoteinstance:tbl insert into localtbl". It's part of batch job process although that didn't take long (about an hour) but it's noticable that you are much faster in doing "unload" to (even) NFS and load it up. Has anyone see this problem too? Both databases are "update stat" regularly on weekly basis. Thanks. Chris Lo
