I use C-ISAM server on a machine and I would like to acces to C-ISAM files on another machine via NFS. I tried but without success. Does someone knows how to do that ?? Thanx Olivier

Make sure you're running the NFS lock daemon on the machine that owns the C-ISAM files. If that still doesn't work, your version (oh, you didn't say which version :-() won't work on your platform (oh, and you didn't say which platform -- that makes it hard to be definitive about your situation) over NFS. Only the more recent versions of C-ISAM allow this, and only on some platforms. And assume you will get atrocious performance because testing locks over NFS is slow! Older versions of C-ISAM were very conservative because older locking daemons were not very reliable. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2003.04 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
