We are
in the process of doing a restore from one server to another
using On-Bar and cannot get the database out of Fast Recovery mode once
the physical restore has been completed. The physical restore took
around 15 hours and I am reluctant to shutdown the database as I believe
it would become corrupted.
From the online log:
07:46:43 Physical Restore of rootdbs, logdbs, physdbs, psapbtab,
psapclu, psapcus01, psapcus01i, psapcus02, psapcus02i, psapcus03,
psapcus03i, psapcus04, psapcus05, psapcus06, psapcus07, psapcus08,
psapddic, psapdocu, psapel45b, psapes45b, psapload, psappool, psapprot,
psapsource, psapstab, psapsystem, psapuser1 Completed.
07:46:43 Checkpoint Completed: duration was 0 seconds.
07:46:43 Checkpoint loguniq 187, logpos 0xb84b018
07:46:43 Logical Recovery Started.
07:46:43 Dynamically allocated new virtual shared memory segment (size
32768KB)
07:46:43 Checkpoint Completed: duration was 0 seconds.
07:46:43 Checkpoint loguniq 187, logpos 0xb84b018
07:46:43 Start Logical Recovery - Start Log 187, End Log ?
07:46:43 Starting Log Position - 187 0xb84b018
07:46:43 Clearing the physical and logical logs has started
07:46:44 Suspending Logical Restore
07:47:10 No logical log restore will be performed.
07:47:10 A Logical Restore is active.
When I try to use onmode -m to bring the database to multiuser mode, the
following is added to the log:
07:47:10 Cannot change to On-Line Mode.
07:50:38 No logical log restore will be performed.
07:50:38 A Logical Restore is active
Any clues has to how I can force the logical restore to complete and
allow the database to be moved to on-line mode?
Cheers, David
