Nice kill of tbtape -c ---------------------- Thanks for all the answers. I think it is working now. This is my result: I will execute tbtape -c with a trap on signal 2. The output will be piped to a program, which will print label an unmount the tape device. This program will trap sinal 1 and 2. With this it will not be possible to stop the tbtape command (break) from the terminal. If the terminal is turned off tbtape -c will continue and stop (signal 1). The program tbtape will pipe to, will run and finish nicely. It is not stopped by signal 1.
