Re: Starting Data Replication Question
Posted in 2001
Hello,
Yes, I mentioned the wrong computer, spu12 is in recovery mode.
The ondatartr supposely does a physical recovery. I am starting to believe that
it is the recovered rootdbs and root.chunk that are not right on spu12. I would
have to wait for my system administrator to get back from sick leave to set up a
tape for me to try the ontape command.
Yes, my DR parameters are identical on both machines.
Should I be able to see the status of the Databases using onmonitor when the
server is in recovery mode?
Should I be able to set the mode to secondary even if spu12 can't connect to
spu11?
If it is of any help for you, here is the result of the recovery from the log
file:
Wed Jan 10 13:42:17 2001
13:42:17 Event alarms enabled. ALARMPROG = '/opt/informix/etc/no_log.sh'
13:42:22 DR: DRAUTO is 0 (Off)
13:42:22 Requested shared memory segment size rounded from 600KB to 608KB
13:42:23 Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.30.UC3 Software Serial Number AAC#
J451944
13:42:24 Informix Dynamic Server Initialized -- Shared Memory Initialized.
13:42:24 Dataskip is now OFF for all dbspaces
13:42:24 Recovery Mode
13:42:26 Physical Restore of rootdbs started.
13:42:34 Checkpoint Completed: duration was 0 seconds.
13:42:35 Physical Restore of rootdbs Completed.
13:42:35 Checkpoint Completed: duration was 0 seconds.
Thanks!
