Can any one help ?

Hi Is there any way or tools available which can extract .o object files from a executable ? Thinking in one way, its silly question as the executable is in the machine code.But I heard there are tools which actually converts them from machine code to assembly code. Then assembly code can be converted to a C program !! But my question is if its possible to get the .o files from a executable . We have few ESQL/C executables which behave differently from the executables that we get when we make the exe now. And hence this question. Any suggestion ?
