About a year ago, I got so frustrated with Informix Support that I dropped my "A-Bomb" here in the newsgroup, a very frustrated posting titled "Abysmal Informix Support". I sent copies to everyone in the chain of command at Informix, and within 3 hours, I had talked to two Informix VP's (they called me) and had home numbers of managers at Lenexa. I strongly concur with Madison Pruet that you can get very good support if you know how to deal with the managers and how to manipulate the system. Informix support is pretty good right now, and it would be absolutely first-rate if a neophyte in the system could get the same kind of attention and effort that us crusty old hands have learned to get from Lenexa.
