RE: dostats problems with 9.4 and 10.0

And I also run dostats like you do -- excluding the SP's. After dostats is finished, I run a simple "set lock mode to wait; update statistics for procedure" via dbaccess -- for our couple of hundred complex SP's, that only takes a couple of minutes. * However * Last night this same update stats job, which normally ran for 2 to 2.5 hours on 9.30.FC6XC, increased to over seven hours!!! I have the "timer" option turned on for dostats; one large table itself took over 5 hours for an update stats medium!!! Do you have any "lessons learned" from your migration regarding update stats and/or dostats in particular?? I plan to look into the possible use of DBUPSPACE & other helps that John Miller has suggested in presentations I have seen. But maybe there is a "gotcha" that you can warn me about???
