ESQL/C doesn't include the threads package. There are not too many vendors pushing DCE at this point. Transarc (now part of IBM) is one of them that still offers it. You might find additional pointers at www.opengroup.org. I'm kind of surprised that Informix doen't support POSIX threads yet (unless they've changed things recently). Informix supports POSIX, Sun, and DCE threads packages on the appropriate platforms. Sometimes more than one (on Solaris all three actually). Art S.
