You can create specific dbspace (with chunks on several drives) and then specify that a table be placed within that dbspace (create table xxx in dbspace). I don't know whether Informix can 'balance' a table across many chunks in a dbspace. When the chunk is filled informix will start to place rows in the next available chunk. Watch out for the maximum number of chunks available.
