Registering an Informix database in VB

I am trying to register an Informix database in VB application but with no success. The register database command will not update my ODBC.INI file correctly. If I set the silent parameter of the RegisterDatabase command to false and enter the information in manually it works OK. The code below shows what I am trying to do.
