INTERSOLV's ODBC & VB

I've been trying to use INTERSOLV's ODBC package for INFORMIX 5 to write a Visual Basic program that connects to a database via Chameleon's TCP-IP package (and INET). When I try to connect, I get the following error message: [INTERSOLV][ODBC Informix Driver][Informix] Error on network connection, unknown connection problem system call failed. Interestingly, the connection works fine when using an application written in Visual C (with the same ODBC Data Source). Has anyone out there had a similar experience? Particularly with INTERSOLV's product? Thanks in advance -james
