dbexport II

I'm doing more testing with dbexport on INFORMIX 5.03. At the end of the process the last line on the screen reads, "A syntax error has occurred." The dbexport.out file has no such line. I tried again with the -c option. Same result AND as best I can tell, I got the same resultant data output (I have the results side by side on disk.) Any ideas what the line means and where I should look to deal with it? Dbexport does not export the files in alphabetical order. What does determine the order?
