Data base error 1235

Hi All, My development machine have infromix 7.20 UD1 and using C/Esql we built system, which running fine. When this exe moved to production machine has informix 7.30 UC1 gives the data base error 1235 which character host variable too short. Is it due to version change ? Can any body help !! Probably a library incompatibility. You will have to set up a CONNECT 2.2x or 2.3x environment on the production machine and run with INFORMIXDIR and LD_LIBRARY_PATH pointed there. Try just pointing the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the updated runtime libraries first if that works great. If you have to change INFORMIXDIR the sqlhosts in that environment will have to use a networked connection shared memory will not work. Art S. Kagel
