fgl_start and customized runner

Is it possible to get macro fgl_start to use the customized runner to run the 4gi? We have a C program need to call a 4GL library function which in turn calls another C function. When this 4GL library is linked with other 4GL programs we can use our customized runner to run it so there's no problems. But when it's "fgl_start"ed from a C program it will fail because without the customized runner it can't find the C function. Any help appreciated! Carl Y. Wu

If you are using C-compiled 4GL code and linking it to be used by a C program, then there is no runner involved at all. Runners are only used in RDS or .4gi execution (pcode). Are you trying to tell me that you have linked RDS into a running C program? If my understanding of your issue is correct, then you merely need to add the custom runner function into the link of the C program. And of course, call it with the proper convention - ie call pushquote() and similar functions, then call the function with a suitable nargs as the only parameter. Don't forget to pop the return values.
