RE: out of locks error

John If you delete 18000 rows from this table you will use 90000 locks...unless you have a delete trigger on this table which is doing something else in the database. How many locks did you see this for this process when you ran it? From what you say another process must have been using a significant number of locks at this time. If you are deleting many rows from this table one should.. Lock the table in exclusive mode.
