warm restore of a dbspace

I am running IDS 7.31 on HP-UX. Logging is to disk, off-loaded with Tivoli SM.
I have a dbspace (non-root, non-logging) that contains history tables that are
updated once at night. These were inadvertently dropped. I saved the previous
night's archive file and intended to do a warm restore. I did not plan to roll
logs forward because there was not any data on them for the tables in the
dbspace. Long story short: Informix left the dbspace and chunks in an
inconsistent state because I answered "no" to restoring logs. Now I'm left
with tables I cannot delete, chunks I cannot remove because the tables are
still there, and s dbspace I cannot remove.
Is there a way to remove the mess so that I can rebuild the dbspace, chunks
and tables?
Since days have passed I no longer have all the logs. Should I attempt the
warm restore again and just include the most recent log when ontape asks for a
log to restore from?
Thanks in advance.
Easiest solution if you have support, call IBM tech support, tell them you
have a down system, explain the circumstances and that all of the tables in
the dbspace are without logging, and ask them to mark the chunks and dbspace
back to online status.

Thanks! I'll get hold of them - we should be still under support. But, it is good to know you're available also.
