Re: Backup Very Slow
Posted in 2006
I suggest you to check the contention level of your database first.
Your configuration shows that you put everything in rootdb DBspace.
This is not a wise move, espeically you have a lot concurrent users
online all the time. It's difficult to prevent users from accessing
the same data pages. That surely will slow down the backup of your
data. All I can say is that the backup speed is way too slow in your
case.
If possible, please also observe the application performance when the
backup starts at 16:00. If the application perfformance also slows
down significantly, it may prove my theory.
