Anyone that knows me and would like a referral, let me know: Sr. Application Developer - (DW12884) Join as a member of the IT Team supporting the Jefferson Pilot Securities Corporation business. Candidate will work with customers to support all aspects of existing and new systems to support the Broker Dealer operations. This will include but is not limited to the following: . Provide timely support for production systems (online, batch and web) by investigating and resolving problems. . Deliver enhancements and new solutions using project life cycle steps of analysis, design, documenting specifications, coding, and testing. . Conduct maintenance programming on assigned systems as required. . Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of program changes and adherence to development IT standards. . Communicate effectively and responsively with all levels within IT and JPSC The successful candidate must be proficient at analysis and design of complex problems and have excellent communication skills needed to convey ideas and solutions. They must be able to function both independently and as part of a team fostering partnership and a sense of shared responsibility. Prior Broker Dealer and securities experience is a definite advantage as is experience with the Caesar back office product and knowledge of the Informix development environment. Specific technical requirements include relational database knowledge and experience coding complex business solutions in a client/server or 4GL environment that includes use of SQL. Some exposure to the Unix operating system environment would be a big plus as well as any Java and web development experience. An exceptionally positive attitude coupled with a history of demonstrating the ability to learn new things and provide outstanding customer service will compensate for some mismatches in prior skills and experiences.
