In Informix 4GL, try this:
...
DEFINE lChar CHAR(20)
DEFINE lInter INTERVAL minute(3) to ninute
DEFINE lInt INTEGER
-- Initialization of lInt
LET lInt = 324
LET lChar = lInt
LET lInter = lChar
In SQL, use the same way (thru the char):
...
create temp table a (a int) with no log;
create temp table b (b char(20)) with no log;
create temp table c (c interval second(3) to second) with no log;
insert into a values(32);
insert into b select * from a;
insert into c select * from b;
It works, however, only in the case of same qualifiers of
interval.
