I've installed CSDK 2.20.UC1 on Solaris 2.6, not Solaris 7, and it works fine for me. That doesn't definitively show that there isn't a separate problem on Solaris 7, but I'm not at all sure how or why it would be a problem. Are you using a non-standard shell, by any chance? I use Korn Shell; Bourne Shell should also work OK. If you were using some other shell, it might be misinterpreting what is required. Or there may be something up -- are you sure you are using the standard expr program? If all else fails, can you trap the output of running: sh -x ./installclientsdk 2>&1 | tee /tmp/log and send the /tmp/log file?
