Error write to device AUX???

We have noticed a few of our client machines running I-net have been getting the error "Cannot write to device AUX" when the I=net connection is first made to the remote (unix) database. The only thing that has changed is that the PC's themselves have been upgraded to newer 486 or Pentium laptops. This error doesn't appear to an Informix error, it's not in any of the error message files. Appears to be coming from DOS or Windows.
