You need to change the "dirpath" column in the "systables" table. This presumes, of course, that we are talking about a Standard Engine database. The steps involved are: 1. Assure some quiet time, alone with your database. Taking a backup first is also a good idea. 2. Select tabname, dirpath from systables for the tables you want to move. 3. For table "mytab", which happens to have tabid=123, a. copy the "mytab__123.dat" and "mytab__123.idx" files to their new locations, b. update the dirpath column to include the absolute path to the files, such as "/u/info.dbs/mytab123". Note that dirpath does not include the .dat or .idx extensions. 4. Repeat step 3 for each table that you want to move. Regards, Alan ___________________________ ______________________| R.
