waiting for SEM

Hi I am running oncheck -cD and cI on my sap dbs and they take ages to complete. Its a 2 cpu box and I've configured Informix for 2 cpus. (NUMCPUVPS, MULTIPROCESSOR). glanceplus shows that the process is waiting for SEM. What needs to be changed? TIA Deepa
