The script you desire is out at www.iiug.org . It's called check_files or some rot. It validates the permission string from the *files list against what is installed on your system and prints out any anomalies. It is a tad long in the tooth - some of the additions to the *files standard will not be understood - they are fairly apparent as they spit out. cheers j. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Mendez" <dhmendez@mail.cinvestav.mx> To: <informix-list@iiug.org> Sent: Saturday, May 17, 2003 1:47 AM Subject: Issues in Informix > I need to implement some aspects related to security in a database > Informix: I have no experience in Informix so is more complicated, and I > have several issues: > > ' The default permission were changed to 777 or 755 in some files of the > following dirs /informix, /informix/bin, /informix/etc, so it's too > risky.I need the default installation permissions.
