This could mean a lot of different things. Go back to the first
occurance of this error using your favorite editor and there should be a
more meaningful message that started it off. I have yet to see an I/O
error occur with out other pertinant information in the logfile.
Look for something describing page/tblspace errors/headers, Fail Consistency
Checks(which should be followed by pthdrpage, ptalloc, bfget including
the pid,user). . .
Basicly you have a problem either with your hardware or your ONLINE instance,
and the first paragraph commencing this error should lead you in the
right direction.
The last time this happened to us we stumbled accross BUG #20510.
i.e. When a transaction is rolled back - due in our case with an aborted
transaction - and a temporary table had been created within that
transaction implicitly then dropped unexpectedly. And when the application
then creats a new temp table, it uses the same partnumber, causing the I/O
error when the process rolls back because two tables exist with the
same partnumber.
We rebooted the instance losing the temp table also losing error.
Many other times we have had some bad sectors or locations on the disk-
I doubt this is your case because your error is happening too frequently-
Unless of course there is major coruption.Other times someone has changed
permissions on a mirror chunk, or accidently removed needed hard
drives!....
tbchecks pe,cr,cd, -- cP ( when you find the bad page information),
could be helpful.

Call tech support after you locate your pertinant information.
