Hi all, We want to connect via windows to unix informix database (SE). I can get the software Client from iWWW.intraware.com but how does This let me see the unix informix database. Do I need NFS or something else To connect or does the client just use TCP/IP addresses etc to connect to the unix box/server? Grant

We provide all the software you need: all you need is a TCP/IP link between your PC and your UNIX box. With SQL-Retriever, you won't need the Informix networking software (INet) either. Take a look at http://www.sco.com/vision/products/sqlretriever/ for more information and a downloadable eval. Informix CLI SDK 2.10 has the Intersolv 3.11 ODBC driver which works great for me (NT IIS web server and Informix 7.2 for SCO Unix) In article <37412236.25D6D0E3@sco.remove_me.com>, Allan Gould <allang@sco.remove_me.com> wrote: > Grant Neilson wrote: > > We want to connect via windows to unix informix database (SE). > > I can get the software Client from iWWW.intraware.com but how does > > This let me see the unix informix database. Grant, On the same vein as SCO, OpenLink Software also has drivers for all major database platforms and supports connectivity across hardware platforms.
