Yes you will need two onconfigs and set $ONCONFIG to the required value. In the ONCONFIG the SERVERNUM will need to different for each server (deceides which shared memory keys are used to define the shared memory segments to use) Also DBSERVERNAME and DBSERVERALIASES will need to be different, So you willl need different entries in sqlhosts and the services file. So $INFORMIXSERVER will need to be set to the instance you wish to connect to. >} Also when dealing w/processor affinity and multiple instances of OnLine >} Should I set AFF_SPROC 0 for on instance and 1 for the other, will >} OnLine consider, in both instances, CPU 0 to be the same physical CPU? >} Yes but it will work ok as you are fixing CPU VPS to a given physical CPU. NOT assigned physical CPU to a CPU VP. i.e. the CPU VP MUST run on the given phyiscal CPU whereas the physical CPU can run other things apart from the given CPU VP.
