Hi all,
i have a problem when creating a table into a fresh SBSpace.
i use IDS 9.40 UC5 over AIX.
i created an sbspace using :
------------------------------------------------------------
onspaces -c -S sb_1 -p /dev/chk2 -o 0 -s 1024000
------------------------------------------------------------
i made a level 0 archive, and configured SBSPACENAME parameter
now i want to create a simple table in this sbpace, but i get the error :
----------------------------------------------
261: Cannot create file for table (root.toto).
130: ISAM error: no such DBspace
Error in line 9Near character position 9
----------------------------------------------
My sql for table :
----------------------------------------------
create table toto
(
num_clie integer not null ,
data blob
) in sb_1 ;
----------------------------------------------
what did i miss ?
thanks for any help
Hi,
The syntax is different:
create table sblobtest
(nr serial,
description varchar(255),binfile blob
)
put binfile in (sblobspace);

Reread the Guide to Syntax manual. You cannot place a table 'IN' an sbspace.
You can only 'PUT' a smart blob column contained in some table into an sbspace,
the table itself has to live in a 'normal' dbspace.
