DOS 4.10SE - ANSI-89/92 integrity rules?

Hi, I just came out of a meeting with some collegues where we were attempting to map fields/tables from our Informix (DOS 4.10SE) based appliaction to their Oracle (unix that's all I know) application (system integration at it's worst?). The question came up about referential integrity and the "relational model" for databases. Here's the question I'm throwing out here for discussion. Does the Informix 4.10SE for DOS database engine have any _built-in_ data integrity enforcement? Are these functions left up to the appliaction code? Specifically, does it enforce: 1. the "entity integrity rule" (a row must always have a primary-key value) 2. the "primary-key integrity rule" (a primary-key value must be unique) 3. the "referential integrity rule" (database transactions must not allow primary-key values in linked tables to become out of synch) 4. cascade options (update and/or delete) (referential actions applied so that updates and deletes automatically cascaded to all linked tables) The Oracle-types wanted to know why: when a change was made in the table structure of our database that the changes were not automatically cascaded to all other related tables. They seem concerned that changes in our database structure will compromise the interface proposed for the two systems. Any info would be appreciated.
