Hi Folks,
IDS 11.50.FC5
O/S AIX 6.1
Can someone explain the significance of the "*00" at the end of a session
id/pool name in an onstat -g mem output?
TIA,
Dan

Response:
I don't believe there is anything particularly significant about that, but I'm
not sure the reason for asking.
Basically the portion before the "*O" is the session id. The "*O" (this is a
capital letter o) signifies it's a pool created for query optimization, and
then the 0 (the numeric zero) is the pool number. So in theory you could have
multiple sessionts with <sessid>*O<number>. Although I'm not sure I've seen
any of those pools other then pool 0.
