Can you run onmonitor as root? > Looks to me like someone tar'ed the Informix installation on one machine, as informix, and untar'ed it on another instead of doing a clean install. Jake you remember when we found that this had been done here at Bloomberg?! If the serial number forms are handy just rerun the install scripts, if not I have a shell/awk script combination that will read $INFORMIXDIR/etc/onlinefiles and fix all of the permissions and ownerships if run as root.
