I know, this sounds *very* stupid, but ... we've had this error too: a well-running esql-program not working on another machine. We solved the problem with *installung ESQL-Runtime on the other machine correctly*. In fact is was not quite obvious to us, because the -461 appeared not always on the same statement. It seems that sqlca-struct is left uninitialized without ESQL-runtime. Hope this helps, Peter
