Hi, I have a 2LPAR server running an Informix 9.4 instance (AIX 5.3). The server was built as 1 LPAR. If the server is re-configured to use both LPARs does the Informix instance have to be rebuilt? Thank you, Tony
Hi, no, rebuild not required. You may want to re-consider some configuration settings to actually take advantage of the additional resources. For more info start reading in the System Administrator's manuals about configuration parameters NUMCPUVPS, MULTIPROCESSOR and SINGLE_CPU_VP.
