RE: onbar question

Phillip,
(1) Make two copies of the current log_full.sh script. Call them, for
example, log_full_A.sh and log_full_B.sh.
(2) In the log_full_A.sh script, insert some lines in the area where PROG,
USER_LIST, and BACKUP_CMD environment variables are set. In that same
place, insert your settings for INFORMIXDIR and INFORMIXSERVER (and maybe
for ONCONFIG, too). You may want to export these values, too, just to be on
the safe side.
(3) Change log_full_B.sh script to insert appropriate environment values for
instance B.
(4) Change your onconfig files: in the onconfig file for instance A, set
ALARMPROGRAM to point to the log_full_A.sh script.
(5) Make the corresponding changes to the onconfig file for instance B.
(6) Bounce both instances, so that the new onconfig params (specifically,
the new ALARMPROGRAM values) will take effect.
(7) Verify that the ALARMPROGRAM settings were changed appropriately by
looking in your online.log file for each instance.
Let me know if this does the trick for you.
Paul

Paul,
thanks for your reply. I thought about that already, but the log_full.sh
script doesn't use any environment variables from what I can see. I've
attached that file for reference in case you can decipher it. This is the
default script that comes with every installation of Informix that uses
onbar. Anyway, maybe you can make something out of it.
