loading data

I prepared a set of data (text format) to load into informix table. How can I load these data into the table? Is there a command to do this? Please help. email me directly, thanks Kenneth

If your data file is ASCII Delimited format you can load it with the dbaccess LOAD command or using the dbload or onpload utilities. If the datafile is fixed column/record length ASCII you can only use dbload. The dbload utility and how to create it's command files to describe your data and what to do with it is documented in the Guide to SQL Reference manual. Art S. Kagel
