Informix claims a larger market share *on*UNIX*platforms* and Oracle claims a larger market share *overall* (which I assume includes DEC's VMS or OpenVMS and perhaps other non-UNIX operating systems). It didn't seem to me to be a matter of how to calculate market share, but how to calculate *market*.
