I'm going to loose my mind. I'm trying to get two SUN Sparc boxes to communicate via ODBC. I have Universal Server 9.13 on one. I-Connect on the other. I've proven a connection by running dyn_sql.ec on the client. If I run the test program called execsql from my client software, a package called accipiter, using an entry in the odbc.ini file which points to the informix odbc driver.. [IUS] Driver=/usr2/local/informix/lib/cli/iclis09a.so Description=Informix9 Database=igndb HostName=molly LoginID= XXX pwd= XXX Service=informix Protocol=oltlitcp Servername=mollydb I get... Unable to connect to Data Source Name: DSN=IUS; [Informix][Odbc Informix Driver]Unspecified System Error = -11041. If I try to use the intersolv drivers that accipiter provides like this... [accipiterI] Driver=/usr2/accipiter/odbc/lib/cdinf12.so Description=Informix7 Database=igndb I get... Unable to connect to Data Source Name: DSN=accipiterI [Visigenic][ODBC lib] Data source name not found and no default driver specified Now forgive my lack of understanding, but the error message for 11041 says the same thing. Data source name not found. It can't load the driver unless the data source name is there! It's the title for the connection. Informix Tech support has been quite useless in this process so far. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks -- John B. Windberg Database Administrator Imagine Publishing Inc. jonwa@imaginemedia.com
