ODBC causing UNIX server to hang

I'm using Microsoft Access and I-NET to connect to Informix running on a SCO box. Everything was working fine until I installed the Novell conectivity for Window for Workgroups. Now in the middle of executing queries UNIX hangs and the system needs to be restarted. It's not consistent. Once, I ran a query and it worked, then ran the same query again and the server hung.
