Fast recovery question

Hi all, After a kill process who was deleting 3 millions of records. when my informix instance goes up, she went on fast recovery. After 6 hours of fast recovery, my sys admin stoped the engine (I wasn't there this night). my question is : When the engine goes up, did the fast recovery restart from the begining or it will continue where it was stopped ??
