ER problem and question

Sun OS 5.9 Informix 10.00.FC10 All, Your advise please. We have 14 instance involved in ER. 13 sends data and 1 receives. The instance were the ER environment uses as the synchronisation server had a DDR block over the weekend. To cut a long story short the instance was bounced and the syscdr database is no longer there. So I have an ER environment without the synchronisation instance. I need to clean up the environment. Is it better to remove all instances from ER and start again or is there a way to get the synchronisation instance involved? Regards Andy Grantham
Hello, Andy. I think it will depends most on your ER architecture, if the "syncronization instance" called is the primary node, for example, you must rebuild all your ER structures, from primary to targets, I mean. If it´s just a target one, or even a non-root, I think you could just rebuild it and resync your replicates/sets. Hope it helps. Best regards. hi I am curious has the syscdr db actually been dropped or just not come on line?
Hello, You should check your ER messages, in online.log. If your syscdr database was corrupted, I think you should see some warning there. I´ve never seen ER drop syscdr databases (by itself), ok?
