Database name in ACE program

Does anyone know of a way to get the Database name into a variable for a ACE program? Informix has dbname in the SYSTABLES catalog table, but presently is not being used when Statistics are updated. It is noted in documentation as a field for "Future Use". I am using 4.12 SQL and running Online 5.02. I know you can override database specified at execution time by entering -d dbname, yet this does not store information in a function variable available during execution. Any Ideas are welcomed!
